Nevertheless, our school systems are different. An English Public School is an entirely different beast to an Australian Public School.
Their public education is somewhat different as well. For example, they have a category of school known as 'Academies'. Academies are state-funded, but do not have to follow the national curriculum... I can't think of an Australian equivalent.
