the NY Times cites scientific research that said the center of Greenland was ~9,000 ft thick and the edges ~4,000.

...1,000m or 3,200 ft around the edges and 2,500m at the center or 8,200ft, roughly a 10% reduction from 75 years ago. Bear in mind, the instruments used to measure the thickness of the ice was rudimentary at best, back in 1932, so there must be some margin for error. Having said that, given the frantic panic, this is hardly a rate of change worthy of panic.

The endless propaganda and useless words masquerading as public discussion in this country is now a proven joke given the ruling by the high court on the ssm marriage survey that will cost the tax payer millions and it won't even be compulsory: or even an official vote!

Look at the price of houses and university fees in this country, for further instance, that very often have no jobs at the end of them amking the dream of a house murderously frustrating to achieve for many who battled hard to go to a University in the first place let alone spend 4 years faithfully gring away at after 12 years of boring school.

This is a country that used to have a future but the kids don't have too many options anymore except to never make a mistake from cradle to grave or they will be on the street. Who can live with that kind of pressure?
