The shooter's organization was using quotes from a newspaper articl by a respected journalist and later an MP and Sydney Uni will not reveal why it granted Alpers some status nor will Alpers reveal who his referees were.

Your first reference gives no information of substance,

His paper on firearms in New Guinea has been shewn to be a biased, self promotion rant.

The University does itself a disservice by promoting him and his views, couldn't they find anyone with some academic qualifications?

The man's background and his experiences have been
accepted by many reputable organisations and institutions
of learning. He cannot be what you claim he is.
It's that simple.

So those on the right can rubbish them as 'Ivory Tower Academics' in the same way that they do for everybody else with more education than themselves?
