Some more information on this topic.
US and Coalition forces attacked El Tharda mountain using white phosphorous (a war crime) though this is unconfirmed and Islamic State commenced a further attack upon the Syrian troops just 7 minutes after the bombing stopped, which is suspicious. The offending nations were US, UK, Australia and Denmark. The UK used Reaper drones, the US used A10's and there were also F16's and Superhornets. An interesting note about the A10 Warthog is that they're ground support aircraft and use 'Joint Terminal Air Controllers' to call in airstrikes, which means that US / Coalition forces had eyes on the ground and would've known who they we're attacking. Apparently they weren't regular SAA forces. They were Syrian Republican Guard who have been holding off Islamic State in Deir Ezzor for 2 and a half years. A question must now be asked if ADF has taken part in committing war crimes. The US investigation will be a complete whitewash that covers up any culpability. There was also a serious attack on an aid convoy going to Aleppo yesterday. I believe the US conducted both attacks in an effort to scuttle the peace deal that would have saw the US work with Russia to combat Islamic State. http://sputniknews.com/politics/20160920/1045493789/pentagon-russia-us-deal.html The US has avoided providing intelligence to Russia on where pro-US proxy forces are operating within Syria - basically they're not moderates and are also embedded with extremists. There seems to be a consensus in the alternative media that the NY bomb attacks were a diversion to change the media narrative away for the events in Syria. In other Syria news Russia says that it will start shooting down Israeli jets. @klechy6: "When it will end this war? "
WW3? My educated guesstimate is sometime ~2025. Wear a seat belt it could be one hell of ride from here on in. It may end up being called the '24 Years War that ended all War' in the history scrolls. That being the dogs of war were unleashed in 2001 - the tail was and is still wagging that dog. Eventually both will be put down / euthanised inhumanely. A new cycle will then begin for planet earth and us stupid human beings. Meanwhile will the LNP ever be able to balance the Budget and will The Abbott regain his national pilots license? Such things are oh so important in the grand scheme of things - not! Will the verified asylum seeking Refugees still be living on Manus and Nauru in 2025 - probably! The summer Arctic Sea Ice should all be gone by 2025 as well. A timely co-incidence. St Thomas the Prophet (do make a note of this, I am unlikely to still be here in 2025) <smile> - Posted by Thomas O'Reilly, Friday, 23 September 2016 12:35:44 PM

What good luck, Syria has a navy just the right size for Australia.
Submarines: 2 Romeo-class submarines (inactive). Frigates: (Soviet Union) 2 Missile boats: (Soviet Union) 20 (Iran) 10 patrol boats: (Soviet Union) 8 (Iran) 6 . Morocco is much the same and France may be quietly pleased. Oz should be in top condition for the China grand final. Posted by nicknamenick, Friday, 23 September 2016 1:17:08 PM

Not only get out of Syria, but get out of the whole crappy deal that the Yanks have sucked us into. It is way past the time when thinking people should realize that this not so cleverly organized arrangement, sponsored by the dirt-bag U.N. was designed right from the beginning to achieve it`s main aim, to REMOVE Assad from his leadership of Syria and replace it with a "friendly" glove puppet, who would carry out the wishes and expectations of the Globalist cabal that is trying desperately to create a major conflict, which America needs to solve it`s economic problems,(ie: create a Third World War) In recent decades the U.S. and it`s "Coalition of the willing" (snivelling, warmonging toadies) have overthrown numerous long-standing and viable regimes, reducing their infrastructure to rubble, and destroying thousands of years of cultural artifacts in the process. The loss of life during these military adventures has been mind-boggling, the grand total will never be known, nor will the ratio of the deaths of the women and children, as compared to the deaths of the "enemy" soldiers. If we were operating under a genuine system of responsibility, which should emanate from the U.N., many of the U.S. and Coalition participants would, and quite rightly should, be facing the War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague, to answer for the shocking crimes carried out against unarmed people, at various times and in various places, during the war against the "Weapons of Mass Destruction" and the "War against Terrorism" Australia should now be smart enough to be sitting on the fence, not taking sides with anybody, watching and analyzing events and forming our own opinion as to right and wrong, instead of jumping into the pack of rabid dogs, and making enemies out of people and nations who we will possibly need as allies ourselves in years to come ( should the world survive the current ongoing insanity?) Just imagine for a moment if you will, if Mr Bash ya Head had sent a few rounds over the border and chlorine gassed a tent full of US Marines on the Turkish side...oh the humanity ! He must be so valuable to the US administration that it defies belief as to why he hasn't quietly been bagged, tagged and dumped out at sea like Bin Laden.
Yes ChrisG, Australia should get the hell out of the Sand Pit...full stop and while the incumbent government is on it, tell the Yanks to keep their dud F35's and associated kit.
Ooops...we've stuffed up again.
