If Bill fell off his perch, Hillary would be yet another of those well-off educated middle class (in her case very wealthy!) Grrls who flaunt their own self-entitlement while decrying 'men' for trying to control them (a great excuse).
There would be $millions in interviews and Hillary would get to re-write history even better than she has done to date. She would also flog the 'loving widow' gig. She'd soon fall in a heap though. No ideas and a total reliance on the 'white pig' at home to hold her up, even stepping in when she is 'overcome by heat and dehydration. Heat and dehydration now being attributed to Hillary 'over-working', as womyn do of course. There are thousands of deserving, very able women who could play Hillary off a break any day of the week. What prevents them from coming forward, or having done so getting the nod and support, is a problem worth studying. Posted by onthebeach, Friday, 16 September 2016 11:12:35 PM

Hi onthebeach
I wonder, regardless of gender, why can't America produce better candidates than the 2 dysfunctionals for President? For example former speaker of the US House of Reps, John Boehner, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Boehner looks well qualified and respected. Also the 2 Vice-President candidate look better than the 2 actual Presidential candidates. Australia, Canada, NZ and UK seem to produce able PMs - What is America's problem? Pete (plantagenet),
My first reaction is, would Australia be any different? What would prevent that possibility, either way, ie., if by open election or if the (Party) winners got to nominate? I believe that much of it is not caused by, but made infinitely worse by the amount of other people's money that politicians have at their disposal for electioneering (donation policy needs attention) and also for employing spin masters (taxpayers' money wrongfully being diverted to political ends by the government of the day). Also, the internal processes of political parties make a mockery of democracy in the selection of suitable candidates. However, the job of a politician has been made very nasty, including by tabloid journalism, the rise of a plethora of 'think tanks' that are thinly disguised political outfits and the common wrongful use of the discoveries by psychology of what makes humans tick. Talking about the last-mentioned, the very powerful Hegelian Paradigm, which is the tool of the nastiest propagandist, is very popular in politics and used by the media too. -Especially by the ABC(!), where some younger producers imagine themselves to be the molders of a different, 'Progressive' Australia that is to their own liking. Producers whose first response is to use 'racist' and various '-phobe' words and without comprehending the real meaning. In that environment and only a few negatives have been mentioned, who might struggle to the top in politics and why? Australia has produced some examples over that last twenty years that invite study. Here is one, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFELLK8htKM At the end of the day though, there is no better system of government than democracy. We need to be very careful though, because there are always those who are challenging it and their first target is freedom of speech. Those are just some random thoughts. Amen to Democracy onthebeach
But the devil is in the detail about the electoral system that delivers democracy. - the Westminster system of Aus, Can, NZ and UK where voters vote MPs in with the Party having the most MPs permitted to form a Govenment. - the US has a system where any potential President seems to need to be personally wealthy ($100 million each) to attract the odd $2 Billion to personally get elected. - Hillary and Bill US$111 million http://moneynation.com/hillary-clinton-net-worth/ - Trump US$4.5+ Billion http://www.forbes.com/donald-trump/#4d81c604790b The US governing parties (even State by State!) also controls the electoral system including voting slip layouts and different voting laws. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secret_ballot#United_States Then there are separate votes for the US House of Reps and Senate. Current problem - Obama seems so weak because he's a Democrat President who can't get legislation through the Republican dominated House and Republican dominated Senate. A few days old, but some worthwhile info.
Too much to detail individually. http://www.republicbroadcastingarchives.org/what-really-happened-with-michael-rivero-september-14-2016-hour-1/ Posted by Armchair Critic, Sunday, 18 September 2016 10:09:23 PM

- G. W. ("mar Daydy") Bush then Dubya II. Jeb III was in with a chance.
- Bill then "my lovely talented wife" (umm, who I've forever cheated on) Hillary Clinton II.
What happens if Bill (of the heart condition) snuffs it?
