Turnbull's decided not to nominate him. Probably for the wrong reasons, though he hasn't elaborated on it in public.

FWIW I think Rudd was an underrated PM, and some day he might make a good UNSG.
But as I said before, he had virtually no hope of getting the job this time round anyway.

Could it be that Allbull, wisely, has decided not to support Rudd because all ministers but one, Bishop, were dead against Rudd?

When he usurped the job, he 'promised' a return to cabinet government, which he belived Abott didn't adhere to; but since then, he has not kept that promise; it has been all about Malcky. After his disasterous election results, perhaps he has decided he should listen to his ministers and drop the narcissistic one-man-band trick?

There goes the supposed adult discourse promised by Malcolm and the LNP. What a stupid, petty, childish decision on Rudd. Flabbergasting.

Rudd has published his letters to Turnbull about the recommendation.
He just does not know when to shut up.

Even the Labour government ministers said Rudd was chaotic in government
management and went off on tangents, throwing tantrums etc etc.
Surely the government in writing a letter of recommendation should be
responsible in giving honest advice to the United Nations ?
