The internet provides outlets for hate speech and if you don't like the comments on here, plenty of other websites you can go "vent your spleen" but I have to agree with runner's comments... enough said!

I've lived in Los Angeles for close to ten years.
Travelled all over the US, Mexico, and Canada.
I've travelled all over Europe, and hope to travel
again soon to other parts of the world. I happen to
love this lovely planet on which so many of us share
our adventure. Firstly though I want to discover more
of this country. I've lived most of my life in the
big cities and I know there's so much more to see and
experience.

As for what do I "hate" about this country?
This country is awesome. As are its people.
There's no other place where I would rather live.
You can dislike a great deal, no matter where you live.
But you also have to take the responsibility for your own
actions and attitudes. I was raised to work hard,
to achieve, and be responsible. And if there's something
I want to see changed? I genuinely try to do my best to
work towards making changes

I just wish people would admit to racism. It's natural enough to be racist, but not admitting it prevents solutions to social problems, especially those affecting remote indigenous people. Apart from that, Australia is not worse than any other country, and better than most. It's run by humans and humans are not perfect. Live with it.

Good on you, Foxy. Is it any wonder that you are loved and admired universally on OLO ?

Nobody's perfect. No country is perfect. We/they are always works in progress. As for Australia, as the old joke goes, 'It would be a bugger if there was nothing to complain about.'

Democracy itself provides complaints: we all have an equal vote, but often the party we don't want to win, wins. That's democracy. Suck it up. Try again in three years.

At the moment, everybody is complaining about the cold. But spare a thought for Kazakhstanis: their annual average temperature is one degree Celsius, but they get up to forty degrees in Summer. Do the maths. It's probably 46 or 47 in Baghdad today. It gets down to -46 in Kazakhstan in Winter. Rug up and stop whingeing.

Cheers,

Joe
