Dear Is Mise,
On the whole, I like it as well. Posted by Foxy, Friday, 15 April 2016 12:12:30 PM

Re design,
What if Australia was to have a new flag for example? Would people accept a new flag if it looked poor or tatty? If this is the start of a sloppy movement in terms of Australian design - then that's something to be concerned about. I thought Australia was supposed to have some quality in terms of work - and how much has this new $5.00 note cost taxpayers in terms of design? For example, an Australian Newspaper story from September 27th 2012 says: "One Swiss designer was paid $300,000 for a series of designs rejected by Reserve Bank management." This is in regard to potential new banknotes. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/treasury/first-look-at-our-potential-new-banknotes-and-the-untold-tale-behind-their-design/story-fn59nsif-1226482167158 Posted by NathanJ, Friday, 15 April 2016 12:23:05 PM

My only interest is in how much one I put in my piggy bank today will buy in 10 years.
Anyone like to guess? Posted by Hasbeen, Saturday, 16 April 2016 12:36:33 PM

Good point about more easily identified currency. Many get confused by the similarity in low light of the 10c and $1 coin for instance.
Likewise agree that the Queen's head and others on bank notes are far too large.
