That's correct Poirot.

Some cry crocodile tears and defend the rights of unborn children until they turn out to be little brown ones arriving in boats while pretending that it's potential drownings that matter and nothing else.

They would prefer them to die quietly somewhere else far away and out of sight to keep their conscience clean.

Your reference is contemptible.

OTB,
I very much have to agree with you - Paul1405 is a sick man and quite obviously an attention-seeking loudmouth.

Paul,

Your last post on another thread regarding wallabies, is similarly highly offensive to legitimate hunters.
As you obviously could never have known a legitimate hunter I guess you may have to be excused for your bigoted ignorance.
Freedom of expression is one thing, but outlandish libel is quite another however.

Salty, why don't you hop on over to that 'Wallaby Thread' and make comment there, Do I care one iota about your derogatory opinion of me ...no, it carries the same weight as the opinions of Beach, another pretender.

From the hard right posters, they pretend to be concerned about protecting the lives of refugee children, when in fact they couldn't give two hoots about refugee childrens lives, read Hasbeen's opening post does not contain one word about the well being of refugee children, he simply wants them locked up then deported, where he don't much care, but not here. The hard right have a simple philosophy that accepts the deaths of millions, including children, at the hands of the military, in such places as Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, but just don't let any into Australia.

Paul,

I did not get into the wallaby thread because it purported to address a serious environmental issue but was substantially lacking in relevant background information.

As for your labeling of all shooters (or hunting shooters) as Rambos or such, you have my response - and that being from a licenced target shooter of some 40 years experience, and one who has found it necessary to pursue some limited vermin eradication by humane method from time to time.
I am also, and have always been, a staunch environmentalist.

As for refugees, the issue is much bigger than the trickle who have made it to Oz, so it can be far too easy to take a narrow view, and rush to an easy, touchy-feely response.
Nobody wants to be harsh, and genuine refugees most certainly deserve safe sanction, either here or in another welcoming and supportive situation.
However, it is necessary to take account of the bigger picture, of what is happening in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, as well as the indications that great numbers of those involved may well be deemed economic refugees.
I hate the idea of all of our detention centres, and particularly those off-shore - which should be closed post-haste - and would dearly like to see TPV's reintroduced urgently.
However, I would also like to see all economic seekers, all over, being eventually able to be repatriated to their home origins - and from whence they may in due course seek immigration if that is their desire.

What to do?
The world desperately needs some hard-headed, non-political vision and wisdom, and the sheer guts necessary to rid the world of all despots. Until then it would serve 'Oz' well to keep a low profile and exercise some diplomatic backbone on the sidelines of the developing furor.
Much now rests on how U.S. and Chinese relations evolve; for all else is mere 'chatter'.
It is my belief that the 'developed world' has much to answer for, and the human animal much evolution to achieve before 'we' may legitimately be considered 'human'.
