OTB,

It's your posts own that are all about not letting
others have a go. You deal in
generalisations, personal attacks,
and are against freedom of speech
with any views that provide facts and disagree
with yours. The same goes for Ms Devine.
(Not so divine). She, does not let facts
get in the way of a story.

Typically Parochial attitudes.
Suse is right, - Nothing more needs to be said.

Fox,

Like the others, anything but discuss the manifestly unfair treatment of those eight soldiers and why, the politics, eh?

See here in particular,

<In the end eight soldiers were sacked, among them young career officers of impeccable standing, who had done serial tours of duty in Afghanistan. SAS commandos who suffered PTSD were crucified for doing nothing more than reply approvingly to a rankly sexist email.

Most emails went unanswered. Many were never opened. Yet officers were punished for having them on their email system.

Yes, the language they used is offensive. But it’s just talk, black humour and a few dirty pictures sent in private emails to friends.

Only Fredrickson had committed a serious offence in filming a woman without consent and sharing images.

“The battle for us blokes is we admit we did wrong by slapping this guy on the back and making a joke of his actions,” says sacked Army major “John”. “But (our problem was) Morrison saw it as a platform to launch his agenda.”

John regrets the replies he sent Fredrickson. “Yeah f--ken oath I’d root her. Good work,” was one..

Sexist, yes. A sacking offence, absolutely not...

Yet the way the Army and the media behaved, you would think the soldiers were guilty of serious sexual offences. As one senior officer peripherally involved with the case says: “I assumed they had sexually assaulted women.”

Among the eight who were sacked were veterans of tours of duty in Afghanistan. Some were suffering PTSD yet were ruthlessly discarded.

One Special Forces soldier was about to receive a Commendation for Distinguished Service for actions in warlike conditions in Afghanistan.

His relatives had flown to Canberra from interstate the day before the ceremony when he was told the award had been withdrawn.

These are men who put their lives on the line in service of their country and they have suffered the ultimate betrayal, crucified by the Army to satisfy a feminist agenda.

And now Australian of the Year has become a vehicle for this agenda.>

thanks otb

so tragic that individuals use men who have put their lives on the line for the country in order to promote themselves. Still the rumour is that Julie Bishop is supporting our biggest ecomimic failure since Gough to tak up a UN position. Self interest seems to be very high on the selection criteria for the left.

It is not only the men who put their lives
at risk in the Army. It is the women as well.
Here is a link that explains why David Morrison
took the stance that he did:

on the bitch: In a country that has two murders a week by husbands or partners, not enough money to provide suitable shelter and an attitude by some that woman are inferior in some way you question the ethics of a man who takes the side of "feminists".
Also these woman are taking part in all aspects of service life even if their lives are at risk as well as men.
They are cleared for combat and some are at the sharp end flying helicopters in harms way as well as fixed wing.
They serve on ships which if damaged or sunk will harm them just as much as men.
You clearly have a problem with woman and should keep it to yourself from now on instead of bleating your prejudice in public.
Just a little tip, do not use opinions from a weird woman who IS biased and works for a miserable old man who should be put in a home for the aged.
It shows how ill informed you are.

Careful Robert LePage, I think your petticoat is hanging down.

As in my other post on Morrison, this fool has lost the defence force more top quality people than anyone in history. He has cluttered it up with a host of silly little girls, most of whom are not capable of doing many of the required jobs, let alone replace the experienced people they are loosing.

It has got so bad that the crew of our later ships are banned from touching any of the machinery, & many of the systems. Crews are so lacking in training & ability that the ships have to be returned to port for shore based contractors to patch up.

God help us if we ever have to actually fight the things.
