My favourite Bogans are the people of Bogan Gate in NSW.

They are the only ones to whom the term may be applied and it is geographical only; to use it in a pejorative context to describe members of a lower social or linguistic strata is a gratuitous insult to the good people of Bogan Gate, all 300 or so of them.
