Well CHERFUL, I'm not much of a fan of thongs myself, but I can assure you of one thing.

The feet of those wearing thongs stink a hell of a lot less than those wearing sneakers, [aka sandshoes].

The stink of smelly feet, when getting on a plane in Melbourne is only exceeded by the stink of the even smellier pommy feet when getting on one in London.

I guess Melbourne folk & Londoners are so used to that stink, they just don't notice it. Which is most Bogan, thongs or stinking feet?

I think thongs are most practical in the tropics.

I often wonder if my preference for thongs instead of shoes
Makes me In that respect a bogan.

I just don't have much patience with the whole try on shoes
Thing. I do however keep a couple of dressier pairs handy
When necessary. My women friends wear shoes much more often than
I do.
