Social engineering is a non-technical method of intrusion hackers use that relies heavily on human interaction and often involves tricking people into breaking normal security procedures. It is one of the greatest threats that organizations today encounter.
A social engineer runs what used to be called a "con game." For example, a person using social engineering to break into a computer network might try to gain the confidence of an authorized user and get them to reveal information that compromises the network's security. Social engineers often rely on the natural helpfulness of people as well as on their weaknesses. They might, for example, call the authorized employee with some kind of urgent problem that requires immediate network access. Appealing to vanity, appealing to authority, appealing to greed, and old-fashioned eavesdropping are other typical social engineering techniques. Posted by doog, Thursday, 3 September 2015 3:03:03 PM

What planet do live on, doog?

ttbn, doog is correct: the term "social engineering" does have that meaning.
However (doog take note) that isn't the original meaning. As for your original question, the answer's NO. The push for homosexual marriage didn't originate with the Greens, and certainly not from Labor (who aren't even united on the issue). It's largely a cultural import from America, and I think it's been substantially fuelled by the idiocy and intolerance of some of the arguments made against it. Renewable energy is far from useless, and it pays for itself over time. The lie that we can't afford it is the kind of thinking that's wrecking the economy at the moment. Our borders aren't open. In terms of relative border security rankings we may have slipped behind North Korea, but I'm sure we're still in the top 2%. You might prefer the government imposing a cultural identity on us, but I'd much rather have everyone free to determine their own culture no matter where they came from. Multiculturalism really isn't that controversial - it's been bipartisan policy for decades and I think most people outside this forum prefer it. And while I agree there's a constant sneering, if not downright opposition to Chrstian ethics, the majority of that seems to come from the Liberal Party. Thanks for your comment, Aidan. I think the differences in our meanings of social engineering is generational, not academic. As an old fart, I'll stick to my definition.
And, of course, I don't expect you to agree with me on the topic, but that's what discussion is all about. Posted by ttbn, Friday, 4 September 2015 11:38:13 AM

ttbn,
Yep you're on the right track. Thanks doog and Aiden for providing alternate meaning. The actual term you're looking for is "Order Out of Chaos" and you don't have to go far to find where its written. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-08-15/order-out-chaos-doctrine-runs-world It's written on the US dollar bill, and is the foundation for the elites plan for a New World Order. You might also want to look up the Hegelian Dialectic of Problem, Reaction Solution. You create the problem yourself, manage the reaction to the problem, then come forward with the solution to the problem (as everybody's saviour) -With the solution being the very measures you wanted to impose in the first place. As for creating the problem - this is the purpose behind 'False Flag' events. Posted by Armchair Critic, Friday, 4 September 2015 6:29:26 PM

Isn't that what Green-Labor (there is no longer any reason to distinguish between the two) is doing to our society? Homosexual "marriage"; wanting to spend billions we do do not have on useless renewable energy; open borders and multiculturalism attacking our sense of identity (admittedly institigated by a Liberal PM who subsequently outed himself as an adherent of the Left - a plant perhaps); constant sneering, if not downright opposition to Chrstian ethics.
I probaly haven't exhusted the list of offences, but there a a few to start with.
