I would like to Thank everyone who has contributed to
this discussion. And Thanks especially to all those who tried to answer why police officers develop these illnesses and suggestions of what can be done to counter them. For me this discussion has now run its course. Hopefully with enough pressure from former police officers, from organisations like Lifeline, Beyond Blue, and wives and families - the force and governments will take action and not continue to cover the problem. It's sad but many ppl become depressed because they feel they have no options left to take. I was one of them and found out the path back starts with taking little steps.
