Fair suck of the sauce bottle Foxy. You can’t say that here, it’s not an approved press release.
Anyway it’s the fault of the Labor/Green alliance and the deficit not Rabbott and his lot. She’ll be right they get can do mini me on the job and it will be all fixed up in a jiffy. Might have to flog a few assets (not the jets) and empower a few monopolies. With what we get we will buy a couple off titles of big Liz. Don’t you worry about that! Shock, horror, PM wants to recognise the service to Australia of the ex- and incoming GGs.
The left are shocked, dismayed. There is a dreadful carry-on. Not in the same league as (then) PM Julia Gillard eulogising Mr Slipper in the House and defending that other fellow, Craig Thomson. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2011-08-16/gillard-defends-craig-thomson-over-escort-scandal/2842042 Posted by onthebeach, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 4:23:30 PM

Another coalition press release from OTB
I wonder if Arthur will get the same short shift as Peter got from his colleagues if he is proved wanting Posted by Producer, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 4:57:00 PM

Producer, "I wonder if Arthur will get the same short shift as Peter got from his colleagues if he is proved wanting"
Arthur who? Peter who? What exactly do you mean by that statement? Posted by onthebeach, Tuesday, 8 April 2014 5:31:40 PM

Talking about people in high places ...
Max Nankervis writes - in The Age, Saturday April 5, 2014: "How is it that people in high places, especially in government, have such poor memories? Alexander Downer (in) famously couldn't recall about numerous matters at the 2006 Cole inquiry into the AWB oil-for-wheat scandal, and even today has difficulty in recalling things, especially about invoices and money matters ("Alexander Downer offered $60,000 fee to lobby for jailed Australian" 1/4). Now Arthur Sinodinos is having a similar memory problem ("Don't know, don't recall" 4/4). And he was a company director. Let's hope he remembered to collect his salary. Thank goodness he's relieved of his ministerial duties. Otherwise the country could end up in a right mess. Perhaps the public will have a better grasp of recall at the next election." for the "Imperial Honours," (Sir Pository of Wisdom),
that he's brought back for our country.
As it turns out even this may turn out to be a dud.
As apparently the Palance stated (see the link that
follows), "Mr Abbott does not confer titles, the
Queen does!" And it seems that in the case of Sir
Cosgrove and Dame Quentin - she didn't! (The titles
may not be legal).
Normal procedure apparently has not been followed.
Mr Abbott simply took matters into his own hands.
Without any consultation. The Queen has not signed
any documents. A joint announcement has not been issued
from the Palace, No simultaneous press release. This
investiture was not followed by a confirming
announcement in the Government Gazette. Are the titles
legal? The Palace apparently thinks not.
Anyway, read this for yourselves
and see if perhaps the whole thing's a joke?
