The pilot suicide links you posted are possibilities but there are too many differences with known facts. In both cases you linked to, they just crashed the plane along its proscribed route, no switching off transponders, no taking different courses, no evasive maneuvers.

Your UK Daily Telegraph link offers the interesting possibility of ransom of both the plane and the passengers, landing safely and secretly to do this. This leaves the likes of Somalia as a prime candidate, this could explain the Southern Route but, could they have reached Africa in 6 or 7 hours? There are hundreds of airports in range but are other “friendlies” along such a route?

I’m dubious about media and “official” information. I checked the Air Corridor Maps and the four main corridors NNW are the ocean flight paths of OCEANA, FAR EAST, S.E. ASIA and INDIA. All route through the Bay of Bengal, West of Thailand and S.W of the Himalayas. Well away from Chinese radar and under cover of recognized airline corridors.

The last known location had MH 370 right on these Bay of Bengal corridors. The route reported by SKY News and The Australian are over Thailand and SE China, seems pointless if secrecy was a primary consideration?

Other than long haul overfly, this North Easterly route is used for the Singapore/Bangkok to Delhi flights. Well to the North East of MH370’s last known radar contact. Why swap to a land corridor from sea corridors, thus increasing the risk of detection?

Motivation and Purpose run counter to just crashing the plane. Why fly on for 6 hours just to do that?
