I'd love a free press just as would love freedom of expression but sadly, our free press is like our democracy, it isn't what it says. Bottom line, individual, is that when you put up your hand for the top job, you're expected to show leadership, diplomacy and skill in the myriad challenges that one is likely to face in such an exalted position.

Abbott has displayed none of these qualities so far.
