Sure, lets ban the Muslims and let the child-molesting Christians get on with it in safety.

Religion is just a form of tribalism that provides personal justification and an excuse for personal prejudice and hate. Since there is no significant majority of belief, it's proof that at any time the majority of the human race is living some sort of irrational delusion.

It still amazes me however that some people are unable to tell the difference between religion and culture.

From my point of view it makes no difference whether it is religion or culture.
It is an ideology wrapped in a religious cloak.
It is a fascist theological government aimed at achieving a world
government known as the Caliphate.

There is no point in comparing it to other religions as it has quite
different political aims.
If you have any doubt just look at the countries where it is dominant.
Would you like Australia to be like those ?

All Australians are free to follow any religion
they choose, so long as its practices do not
break any Australian law. Australians are also
free not to folollow a religion. We have a secular
government and no official or state religion.
Governments treat all citizens as equal regardless
of religion and religious laws have no legal status
in Australia.

Banning any particular religion is against our Constitution
as David F., pointed out in an earlier post. All Australians
are equal under the law which means that nobody should be
treated differently from anybody else because of their
race, ethnicity, or country of origin, because of their age,
gender, marital status, or disability, or because of their
political or religious beliefs. Our Government agencies and
independent courts must treat everyone fairly.

Actually Foxy the constitution doesn't prohibit a state religion it prohibits the state from establishing any religion in it's own right, Parliament is not a secular institution and neither is the government, ministers are sworn in via sacred oath or an affirmation in the name of the law, according to their conscience or beliefs.
It's a secular state in the same sense that "atheism" is a faith that there's no divine presence, if you take my meaning, call it "non dogmatic religious faith"....except that from certain points of view it is dogmatic, but that's another topic.

Dear Jay of Melbourne,

You should read my post before you reply to it.
Kindly do so.

And while you're at it look up Section 116 - of the
Constitution of Australia - which clearly states
against the prohibiting of the free exercise of
any religion - which is the point that David
F., made on page 1 of this thread - and it's also
the point that I was making.
