You obviously have not read the Warren Commission report. Warren was liberal, well regarded and competent Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

A shot from the rear, the second from memory, shattered the back of JFK's skull, compressing the grey matter which on decompression exuded from the opening onto the boot with parts of the skull. Jackie Kennedy then scrambled onto the large boot deck in reaction.

There was an audio tape that recorded four or five shots one of which could not be accounted for but Oswald fired through trees that then lined the route and it was suspected that the missing bullet either lodged in wood or was deflected away from the scene and lost.
I completely read the Warren Report when it was released.
