It is no surprise to me that the polls have surged for labor with the rebirth of Kevin Rudd as leader and PM.

I do wonder if it's just the usual honey moon, however, what puzzes me is how one single person (of some 102) can make such a difference.

It also suggests that many within the party are pretty much useless without a popular leader.

While some believe most voters vote for their local member, this surge proves without doubt that most vote for the party/PM they want, then search out the member they need to vote for come ballet day.

I say this as many local members were well behind in the polls, yet they are now back in contention, through no doing of their own.

Is this the type of party we want running our country, especially given the debt they have racked up, and the way they have or should I say, he has, trashed our borders.

It also suggests that many of the local members are simply pawns, as they quite obviously have little bearing on the parties direction.

I'm not sure if this is what our country needs right now.

What this country needs is people that are rational, and not people that make stupid statements, the polls were always going to surge, mostly because people despise the thought of Abbott becoming a PM.
We can't compare policies, there is nothing to compare with. So popularity is the only thing people can see as being of use.
Abbott is an imposter, and a thief,so what choice do you have.

There is only one thing that is more flabbergasting than Abbott being preferred PM, as he was a short while ago, and this is that Rudd is again PM, and is preferred over Abbott!

If there is one person in the world that Abbott would be preferable over, it is resurrected Rudd!

How is it possible that with the asylum-seeker issue being so emotive and prominent, and with the cause of it all clearly being one K Rudd, that this very same person is now again our PM, and is enormously popular?

How schizophrenic is the Australian populace in this regard?

Maybe its because the people don't share your views, Rudd did not cause any boat people, boaters will always slow to nothing during the monsoon period.
Abbott supported the boaters by not giving a vote for Malaysia.
The only real solution.
Abbott's solution is to cause regional conflict, least of all being banned from Indonesian waters.
Policies is what is making a difference, not slogans, or Tv adds all in the past tense.
Turnbull is feeling the water for temperament.
