The really sad thing is that when all of the invading armies have withdrawn/been kicked out, it will all revert back to the stone age again.
Various pollies such as the bloke in the cape and funny hat will scuttle off to Switzerland to count their loot and all the death and destruction will have been for nothing except to inflate the ego's of Bush, Howard and Blair.
Just think what could have been done with all of the money it has cost. Homeless in the US, Australia, UK could have been rehoused. The health system would have had money to keep it running and children would have a good education and not leave school unable to read.
Just so much difference could have been made to the world.
And Gillard still keeps on saying "we will see the job through". We are never told what the job is though.

If we all withdraw from Afghanistan we can then stand back from afar and fire our remote guided missiles from remote controlled drones and kill what ever gets in front of the camera.
Just think about it. Bourbon soaked lounge lizards playing war games for real on the big screen with no risk to the home team at all now that's real sport.

Afganistan economy will again revert to growing drugs to sell to Western children to destroy their lives and minds.

The odd thing is that while the Taliban were in control there, they stopped the production of poppies and the heroin supply was cut right back.
It only increased after the US and the rest invaded and gave Afghanistan "freedom".

Can't anyone else see it. The real reason we are withdrawing troops is because the cost of fighting a war by drone is far less that using human soldiers and massive logisti9cal resources.
