What is the Gillard government doing about the Australian cricket team that's what I want to know?
She should be calling a royal commission into the scandalous losses against what is clearly an inferior team.
It is all the fault of the Greens of course, they block all attempts to increase investment in players and are obstructing the natural order of Australia being always the winners.
Tony Abbott will of course come to the aid of the Australian team when he wins government. He has announced that he will appoint a minister for cricket with full powers to stop the rot.
There is no chance that he will allow a coalition team to include New Zealanders.

RLP quite right!
Gillard is a spinner she should leap on a plane and get involved.
Shorten, if you can get him to stop looking in that mirror and combing his hair as the ball is bowled can bat.
Simple Simon Crean is a great wicket keeper in Gillards team,if he stops lovingly looking at her.
Abbott can carry the drinks,he throws not bowls, tantrums mainly.
This country needs to drop NDIS/Carbon reduction,a lot of things.
Bring our team up to scratch.

Good to laugh, we all do it and it warms us.
But too, we love to win, not us but we claim it was.
Get that nice we won! joy.
And sink the slipper in to them, not us, if we/they lost.
I love the game.
Mostly its longer form, but the 50 overs is great 20 ? never miss it.
We are batting and bowling on another country,s wickets, England does it to us we do it too.
When Shayne warn ripped other teams apart we gloated,in
*our*Victory.
As Ponting glided yet another four away to get another hundred,or most of this current team, we said *we had flogged them*
This link, yet again shows it is them when they have lost.
While engaging in the fun, the real message may be the fickle nature of Australians who just pay lip service to sports.
I am ready for England, and the lovable Balmy Army, how will we go?
Better than Gillard one hopes, then again we have clearly already said Abbott is so I rest my case.

There is a major problem in Australian cricket, esspecially with our fast bowlers.

Here we are, some 30 odd years since the greats like Lilly and Thomo, we have seen huge leaps and bounds in training technology, yet, it seems our quicks can't go a full game without breaking down.

I think it's more a case of harden the F up, if you ask me.

As for India, these guys are amazing in their home land and we must also remember they are a developing country, that all of a sudden in more recent years have opened the game up to many more of their people.

South Africa as well, where coloreds are allowed to play.

They have also imported many top line coaches, some of our own in fact.

So i think it's just a numbers game, where they now have literally millions of potential players to choose from, and we no longer have enough bums on seats so as to say.

Rechtub are you a cricket player.
Loving the sport but no longer playing it,I can only talk of my thoughts.
We can not bring back the past.
But it is dangerous to compare it to today.
Bowlers like every player, play more cricket in a year than our past greats played in 3, maybe more.
Indian wickets are as useful as the proverbial to a fast bowler.
Spin is king on a wicket built to help only that.
We have great up and comers, two quick turn around ashes series may well prove that.
We could debate rotation, it may be a good thing, but looks bad right now.
Lets not bypass our heroes, the four batsmen who fail near every time, in England they may again become our heroes.

Wait; do not panic; all is not lost;
I have heard that help is on it's way.
A coaching team has been signed up that will surely help us win.
They used to be with some football team called the Sharks.
After all both games are played with a ball so there cannot be that much difference can there?

Did you hear about the bloke that was painting his house and keeping one eye on the cricket on the telly?

He sat down for a break, look up saw the paint drying.

The excitement sent him into cardiac arrest.

Seriously it’s only a game and if you are that way inclined play it. Governments should have nothing to do with cricket or any other sport.

Robert LePage you want parasite politicians to pay public money to parasite lawyers to hold a royal commission about a commercial sport played by parasite professional sports people, surrounded encouraged by advertising parasites and administrated by parasites.

Sport has been used by those in power to occupy the masses. If the masses are not occupied they may start to think. The last thing non representative governments like ours want is the masses to think.

The Romans started it with their colosseums and was vastly superior to cricket. They were able to entertain the public, feed hungry animals and get rid of religious and other fundamentalists.

I suppose it’s a reason NOT to vote for Mr Rabbott’s franchise. Maybe he wants to set up a job for little John after his snub from the cricket administrators?

Dear Producer,

Good to see someone else is on the ball.

Bread and circuses are what it's all about! Yes the Romans most certainly knew how to manipulate the political capital of popular games.

Boring? by far the most boring thing in the world bar nothing.
Is folk who do not like something joining a conversation to tell us that.
Think about it?
Cronulla is in it deep my game is too.
But will the idiot who injected the drugs go to prison.
Have pity on me Dragons dropped more ball than two Aussie cricket teams.
Gave away more silly penaltys than Gillard!

Good news!
We have a new spin bowler.
Gillard hasbeen included as our front line weapon.
Bit embarrassing to see as she runs in,a bit wobbly.
But watching Bill shorten, Simon Crean, and Wayne Swan run behind her every step of the way?
Still if she can bowl who cares, shame her first over was all wides.

Belly – I believe cricket is played by two sides. You have described on side, I would like your description of the other side using the same context. Let see if you are ambidextrous enough, that you are able to describe their form as eloquently.

AH but you miss the point.
Australia is short of in form cricketers, getting two teams on the field is hard work.
But lets see Bronny Bishop is the scorer dashind about with her big book demanding more time between balls.
Abbott at the wicket is calling for the square leg umpire, [bloke known as reform] to stop Gillard bowling head high spin at the umpire, Hockey at the other end is hoping for boundary's because he can not run much.
All good fun, but you tell me, what is funnier than Gillard being herself?
And pleesaa! both Crean and Swan wanting to polish her ball after every one is sad.
Shorten, intent on getting wickets, has applied for the wicket keepers roll, knife in hand and a lop sided grin.

Well who would have guessed?
4 players have been sent home.
For not filling out the home work.
Gillard sent a team question-air out asking who loves her.
Seems the answer no need for that you love your self enough was incorrect!
