We have a lot of laws - one of them is to desist from driving a car if you think you're over the alcohol limit.

People are charged with making a judgment on that before they get behind the wheel.

Once they're driving, they may be breathalysed - because they have make the decision that they are sober enough to do so.

You seem to be suggesting that there be police stationed outside every alcohol vender with the power to breathalyse anyone who walks toward their car.

How do you reckon that would work?

How do you think people might feel about that sort of police intervention?

And how are you planning conjure up police manpower for conducting these breathalyser tests?
