There appears to have been no change to the problem.

Well this time the page has downloaded ok, with only the advert on
the top and not on the side or middle. So the problem must be
related to them. I thought I'd give you feedback, thanks for
trying to fix it.

Yes, Graham, it seems much better...although when I first came back on, nearly every page on this thread had a black box where the ad should be playing, but when I came back through the pages before posting this all the ads were playing like they should.

Seems okay now - although intermittently on some pages there is a black box with no ad playing.

I've told the advertising agency that the issue doesn't seem to be fixed. Is that a fair summation of the last three (at least) posts?

Well I've been reading various articles this morning, so far no
problems, so I thought that they might have fixed it now, which
