What nonsense, Arjay: Israel has no capability to stop the Iranian nuclear program with conventional weapons and now even the USA admits that they have no such capability either.

This is because:
1) Iran's nuclear facilities are spread in dozens of sites, mostly underground.
2) Due to its numerous earthquakes, Iran developed and produces the strongest concrete on earth, much stronger than any conventional reinforced concrete. Even the latest 13-ton American bunker-busters cannot break their fortifications.

Perhaps, at an extreme price, America can stop Iran by ongoing decimating attacks on its infrastructure, so it will not have the energy and supplies to run the centrifuges, but this certainly wouldn't be a singular short attack and Israel of course is not anywhere close to be able to sustain such attacks.

The more likely option is therefore nuclear and it will only be used at the very last moment just minutes before the first Iranian bomb is assembled.

I am sorry for your (and mine too) economic woes, Arjay, but I value the lives of my family in Israel, which the Iranians are planning to take, much more than the price of oil, democracy, human rights and all the rest.

I suggest, Arjay, that you stay away from Iran; Australia is a good place to be and in the worst economic scenario we have everything we need and can supply our own energy for centuries.

It is my view, and yes I may be wrong, arjay is an apologist for the anti USA/ western forces in the middle East.

While there are many lunatics in the Israeli government, your description of their motives is so exaggerated that it lacks credibility.

I do not identify with the Israeli government or with any of their alleged motives that you described, be they true or otherwise. For me that's secondary anyway - all I care is about my family and they are part of millions of Israelis who DO NOT want to antagonise anyone, who certainly do not want to be attacked, who live daily in existential fear of Iran because they value their lives and want to get on peacefully.

Unfortunately, Iran does not differentiate between the Israeli government, Sholmo Gazit and my family. As far as they are concerned, they vowed to destroy Israel, meaning that if they are successful they will kill my family. Their nuclear bombs will not distinguish between expansionist lunatics and good ordinary people - in fact they will not even differentiate between Jews and Palestinians: neutrons and radioactive isotopes will spread blindly, killing and maiming the good and the bad alike. I do not support Israel as such, but I support all moves necessary to protect my family, including nuking Iran if that's what it takes and even causing global recession and millions to starve if need be - my family comes first!
