Julia is trying very hard to lay the blame on Tony Abbott for the onset of boats that may follow.

Well, call an election and let the people decide.

IF YOU'RE GAME!

It seems fairly obvious that Labor is going to attempt to wield this defeat as a weapon with which to fight the next election. That's what pollies are good at - utilising whatever they can from the detritus of a failed campaign for future battles.

Good day Rechtub, will not stay long.
Just thought I would drop by and say thanks.
Thanks from Belly for? the Bell;y laugh! huge fun.
Every time short bottom Tony says this I shudder with it.
He knows, I know, you may not, it is not gonna happen.
We will see Abbott's replacement, soon, take a different path.
We will see Gillards replacement, soon, get together with conservatives.
And both their offshore scheme and Labors will be legal.
THEN THE BOATS WILL STOP.
Tiny Tony has further damaged him self!
His politics first country second, a thing he admits to, is again on display.
See you in another thread.

Has anyone noticed that even the ABC has stooped to making more and more opinionated statements when ending a news piece. One could only hope the usual 'tsk tsking' and head nodding of the commercial current affairs commentators would not spread like a virus to dear Auntie.

It seems the 'Keystone Cop' landscape of the political world is being mirrored by the news media. Or is it the other way around, it is confusing and I am a bit over the blame game and talk of strategies and tactics over good policy and partisan discussion.

Tony Abbott's childish opposition tactics on all things government are almost equally matched by Labor's response to his kindergarten methods.

Keystone Cops. That is an understatement.

"Call an election," has been the mantra of the Opposition
right from the get go. To no avail and it's not going
to happen until 2013. It's time the Opposition woke
up to that fact and instead of spreading all that
negativity - gave the voters reasons for why they deserve
the votes at the next election. Continually blaming
the government doesn't do it for most thinking people.
