I guess I should elaborate on the word 'consequences'. Why should someone who CRIMINALLY is a predator against the people of their own community be allowed the same rights as those they are preying on? Why should someone who preys on people be allowed to benefit from say ... Medicare, and the dole. No WAY should they be allowed disability pensions.

AND increase these ridiculous sentences and put in magistrates who are in touch with reality.

Of course you can be found guilty of a criminal offence without actually being a habitual criminal. I'm talking about predators, of all types. People habitually prey on others. Serial rapists, burglars, violent offenders, junkies - grey area, for sure -, con artists, etc etc.

I've got ZERO sympathy for people who make a life out of creating victims.

Over the years I had in the vicinity of $85,000 worth of commodities & equipment stolen. To-date, I received not a single cent in compensation. No-one better ask me to be more understanding or tolerant with these mongrels.
They are mongrels & most likely will remain mongrels because we have insipid mongrels who defend them. The poor bastard who lost his job & has to knock off a loaf of bread gets hammered like nothing on earth yet the drug addicts & other low life get millions spent on them although a fair whack of that goes to do-gooder social workers/lawyers. Wake up people !

Come to think of it, is there a program that helps people who lost either goods or job ? Like are there as many millions spent on victims of bureaucratic bungle & thieving as there spend on rehabilitation centres ? Would be interesting to see some figures.

Do this , do that, more police, more security.

Real youth un employment is 40%, solve that, give them a future better than "will you have fries with that" and the crime rate falls.

sonofgloin,
Solution Start National Service= continued solution more employable sensible people, less discontent, less crime, better society. Even an idiot can see that, can't vouch for the academic do-gooders though.

Constant insulting terms such as idiot and dogooder, shouted in an endless stream are not changing any views.
I have been subjected to such, from that poster today.
Very harsh words.
But what offends me about them is not the insults.
It is the unthinking rage behind them.
A closed mind is best served by a closed mouth.
