I did not watch because I could see it would be as bad as you said it was.
My choice was supported by watching Ned Kelly played by Mick Jagger a few days before.
We once did very well with near true Australian movies if it is intended we watch American style stuff my DVDS will see much more use

I was embarrassed by the very gauche 'borrowings' from "BC & the SK", and was almost expecting a bicycle to appear at any point. And don't you think that the heroine looks a little like Katharine Ross! That said - it was very easy on the eye, and I will probably continue to watch, if only to see the baddies get it - I did think there was a good twist at the end of chapter one - but I will probably have to tape later episodes and watch when I am home alone - as I do with Miracle Day, because the interest on the other couch was hohum!

Well Belly, I haven't seen the Mick Jagger/Ned Kelly film since it first came out in 1972? I remembered it being a pretty good show at the time, but....... I was only 18 years of age. Heck, I still have the original double album (in vinyl) with some pretty great songs on it. Pity I don't have anything to play them on now :-(

But don't blame the Jagger picture entirely. I think he did a pretty good job considering the Rolling Stones were on all kinds of dope in those days. Even Mick Taylor left them just a couple of years later because, as he said, "the drugs and booze lifestyle they were leading would have killed me!"

Incidentally, I attempted to record Ned Kelly with good old skinny, drugged out Mick in the lead, but I didn't realise it was 4pm and not 4 am the following morning, so I still haven't seen it since '72. Damn! Still, anything shown at 4 pm couldn't be all that interesting.

Give it a few years & it'll be history curriculum material.

: Wild Boys on Ch. 7.........Yeah! just another template for taking the speed off man and his evolutionary/already too fast world. And what may I ask, are you all watching the slang word for idiot-box? What you pay for, is what you get:) Are you all that cheep/poor, that Pay T.V is out of the common Australian budget? The ABC store/DVD,s has plenty of great viewing. In this day and age.....the choices must be endless.

$25 dollars a week can get you SAT dish on the old roof. Thats just a packet of smokes a week roughly or a cheap night down the local..........or

One family pizza meal that eagle girls.....all 25 bucks...

Two pice feed and one z-ring stinger burger with 1.25 coke......all 25 bucks.....

Three big mac,s and some fries with a dessert of your choice........all 25 bucks

So all you people that just have the normal T.V digital set-top-box or the flat-screen all-in-one system.....you cant afford a lousy $25 dollars a week, for all the channels that have got the best entertainment for what-ever tickles your fancy?....haven't got the money A?

Just miss out on just one of those little luxuries a week and you will never winge again.

....And I thought this was the lucky country?

cactus:)
