From what I have seen of the RSPCA in recent years I'd say they have taken on a similar jackboot persona to Greenpeace, & their only interest is fund raising.

If the RSPCA were to appear around here I would expect quite a few dogs to be put on them, & I'm sure those dogs would treat them with all the respect they deserve.

Dear Hasbeen,
point noted on the fund raising, but remember RSPCA are the only hands on Animal Welfare organization & it does cost.
I am sure many smaller animals would be worse off if it were not for them. & They admit they couldn't do it without volunteers. I opened this thread to see how we could improve animal welfare - look at some heads & at the structure of RSPCA National & others. See if they represents everybody views. If not explore the possibility for Government to set up a register on a ongoing basis to allow *all Australians to voice their opinions suggestions & concerns. Ask more questions as to their policy ie are RSPCA National under instructions not to work with others- or is it personality of heads of staff. RSPCA are after all a pretty public organization- in so much as they reply on public support & donations.
I am looking for answers that would explain the aggression towards other animal lovers.

One would think the more animal lovers - the better..

one under god,
I am sure you mean well but i cant follow that type of posting. As for God my personal thoughts are I cant see how any God can allow his animals to suffer so long. But at least you just reminded me George Pells office have again ignored letters asking them to speak out for Gods creatures. Thanks Also if you dont mind I am a bit over religion atm of any kind. I prefer people to get off their bums and do something to help animals than preach from a book- any book & I believe it is every decent human beings responsibility to do the right thing by our animals. That is despite region or race. If you can possibly comment leaving *all gods out of it that would be appreciated.
Cheers

Kerryanne about 8 years ago a number of us contacted the RSPCA regarding a half a dozen horses in a paddock, where the dam was totally dry. A neighbour had 4 of his 44 gallon drums placed against the fence, which he topped up daily, to supply them water. The owner would do nothing.

That is exactly what the RSPCA did also, absolutely nothing. Finally, when the neighbour was running out of water himself, someone let them out onto the road, & the council had to act.

A few months later, with us still deep in drought, the RSPCA took a sledge hammer, to a young land holder who had taken on more discarded horses than his property could handle, & more than he could really afford to feed.

They came with the TV cameras, got their fund raising effort, but did stuff all to help any one.

I not only wouldn't feed them, I would definitely put my dogs on them. You will be very hard put to convince me there is a single animal lover in the lot of them. People haters yes, but animal lovers, no way.

Hasbeen

Truth is Hasbeen I know a high% are slack but they do get thousands of calls too. My own horse got stuck in a creek about 18 months ago right in the thick of the TV show RSPCA rescue& right around the locations of filming the show. Called RSPCA ambulance driver not interested i swear. Ended up getting fire brigade- great guys- saved him. Lost him 6 months ago had him 30 years.
The biggest problem imop with RSPCA especially National office is they operate like the secret service imop- but more like comedy capers.
How many painful interviews have i listened to over the years with people like Heather talking about Halal. But they WONT let Muslim people explain & very interesting do not want to- refuse to in fact inform the public Muslims want live exports banned,. Refuse to tell anybody there IS a programe to faze out live & replace with chilled.
Point blank refused to post on their web site the proud motion passed in Congress by Muslims to Ban Live Exports.
Refused to take petition with 7 thousand or signatures on it supporting RSPCA
So yeh you tell me-- All we can do is raise our concerns now at inquiry and in the media. Ten years enough is enough.

PS Oh& RSPCA National are not interested in their offer to sign something to say Muslim leaders support RSPCA pre stunning either

Nope No talk Go away- Nasty towards these kind offers of help
Well Heather etc every dogie has his day- or hers because we dont need consent to help animals from you.
Your imop a poor example of what RSPCA should be.

i agree that religeon is perverted
just the fact they ignore suporting animal rights
reveals they dont get..what christ came here to tell us..

its not my format of writing that is difficult to read
but the way i am forced to write it..[i have been suspended 3 or 4 times..purely because of my writing style...this style is my latest attempt to not get suspended...for poor writing skills]

but se how its my ignorance
that causes your annoyance
[quite simply im making it up as best i can as i go]

but so too are those ignorant fools

[ie religeon..that wont suport being nice
to the greater part of gods creation..;the beasts]
AS MUCH AS THOSE..IGNORANTLY BEING CRUEL

we each are doing the best we can
with what we each have..

so the rspca..needs to pay lawyers..to procicute or educate
[the fact is education is only a fraction..of the cost of procicuting]

so educate...[not by shock and awe]
much of the imagry...of hurt or injured animals
simple meets the needs of the animal perverts...[as much as child porn..feeds the needs of child perverts]..

earlier you put up a name...as deserving honour
[im ignorant of why he would need such honours...as i know the real joy is in saving a beast from cruelty...

or preventing other animals from systematic suffering...[like bleeding animals to death..without stunning them]..and other things we NOW realise to be cruel..

but we must recall the ignorant..do things in ignorance
that we first need to survive[eat]..before we can even begin to think of feeding others..

[we now have the luxury..
of freezers full of dead animal flesh]
but give little thought to the living beast

you may dislike me using religeous sounding words
but think of these words as being the way...for the rspca..to actually better do its job...[and wake up the sleeping priesthood]

that we do to the least
[ie that we do to ignorant dumb animals]
we do to the most

ie
WE...DO...
TO...god..[the most]..
