Our Anna was sinking out of sight in the polls, until the floods, & the cyclones threw her a life line. Give her her due, she's a quick study, & remembers her lines well. She & the lord mayor acquitted themselves well.

So her stint as stand in news reader, & weather girl went well, giving her a huge surge in the polls. But then she reverts to type, & has to stuff it all.

First she decides to roll in the glory & goes swanning [sorry I couldn't resist], of to Cairns, announcing she will govern from there for a week. Pity someone offered her a glamor shoot for some women's mag, it showed where her real interests are.

But it gets worse. She has to revisit the glory with a visit to the Lockyer valley, & we see that too many photo opportunities get in the way of real work.

Weeks after the event, none of those all the donations were meant for have been helped. What is it with Labor & money.

It appears Anna has given the money to a couple of bureaucrats, & they are busy playing monopoly, rather than distributing the cash where it's needed.

Just once I would love these people to prove me wrong in my assessment of their value.

Yep, and some $30 million Dollars worth of contracts rebuilding cyclone battered Tully & Cardwell are apparently (Cairns Post article) going to a Sydney company whilst Cairns Businesses are reeling for lack of work.

Is this simply the result you get from a tendering process Individual. The Sydney Firms simply winning that tender. Doesn't seem right does it.
Buts Gov'ts of any colour seem to take the economically expedient direction.

As for the "true to form stuff" regarding Anna Bligh Hasbeen, it's a bit hard to understand what you mean when you claim this, if your not a Queenslander. From here down south it's also hard to imagine what the floods did to Qld, but I'm sure it will take time to repair.

It is probably too complicated for a instrument like Gov't to kill two birds with one stone and employ local businesses regardless anyway Individual, but it would have seemed appropriate to me.

One thing I do know from your posts is that Anna Bligh certainly does have some vitriolic dissenters in her state.
