Well it didn't take long for the real/real/real little Julie to show up.

Gone are all the promises made in an attempt to con the electorate into voting for her.

We have a new lot of promises, this time to green Brown, also designed to get her into the lodge, but having very little in common with those of last week.

WE now see just what the real Julia is. A desperate, conniving woman, who made her run, & got it wrong. One who knows she's shot her bolt. If she doesn't make it this time, it's all over, & she's out on her backside.

If this woman gets back in, we know she will sell us all for her ego. She is actually be worse than Rudd was, in this respect, if that's possible.

Surely our country independents will see the writing on the wall. Front lady Julia, with puppeteer Brown pulling the strings is where we could end up, if this pair consummate their deal, & they don't stop it.

Hasbeen, we know Julia is a policy wind vane, directed by the polls and the NSW right. Capable of anything, having no scruples and the ability to lie fluently she is what hatched from the Fabianesque uni clubs of the 80's and 90's.

This election is a resounding victory for a coalition written off only months ago. But it is a source of personal despair to me given that we are back to the status quo of a 50/50 split along right and left lines. I say this because the core labor supporter has stuck with the most incompetent and wasteful collection of non performers this country has ever seen. No matter which team failed, identify it as a failed team, retire them for a while and see what they come back with in three years. Not a great deal more to say other than half the population must be simpletons there can be no other reason for the shabby result we see unfolding.

All those complaining about the union influence in the Labor Party, and the Asylum seeker policies of the Liberal party should consider this.

After 1945, the Chifley government found itself in an environment where the US provoked the Cold War against Soviet Union. De-nazification was stopped in Germany and fascists still dominated the police and military in Italy. Chifley locked Australia into the western security web and surrendering national sovereignty to the new intelligence order in Washington. The Australian Labor government was knowingly admitting Nazi war criminals combatants and collaborators as refugees.

Into this country poured the Nazis, protected and used by ASIO to control and monitor the growing migrant groups. Together with the Croatian Ustasha, Hungarian Arrow Cross, Romanian Iron Guard, the SS controlled Slovenian militia. Groups derived from former members of these were organised with the tacit support of the Menzies and successive Liberal governments.

Lyenko Urbanchich ends the almost 70-year political career of the man who invented ethnic branch stacking in Australia. He was also the last, and most powerful, of the central and eastern European Nazi collaborators and war criminals that infiltrated the Liberal Party from the 1950s.
The peak of Urbanchich's success was the formation of the Liberal Ethnic Council.
As council president, he automatically had a seat on the state executive. Other council executive members included his close ally, David Clarke, who learnt ethnic branch stacking techniques from his mentor and today leads the "Uglies" faction established by Urbanchich 40 years ago. The Uglies are the faction that drove John Brogden out of the leadership of the NSW liberal Party and were behind the dumping of Malcolm Turnbull. The Uglies, control up to 30 per cent of the Liberal Party State Council votes and are the power base of Tony Abbot, Bronwyn Bishop and of John Howard Philip Ruddock, and others.

In 1996, Urbanchich and Clarke established the far-right's ironically named "central committee". By 2005 Clarke controlled the NSW state executive, the Young Liberals (in NSW and federally) and the NSW Women's Council.

I don't suppose you could actually state what 'promises' you're whining about, Hasbeen? Otherwise it just sounds like more OLO lunar rightard onanism.

Fair enough if you want to criticise Gillard, Brown or anybody - but this whinge is just too general to warrant serious discussion unless you specify what you're actually bleating about.

Having said that, it seems to be par for the OLO course lately, particularly in the General Forum. If a post is bashing either Labor or the Greens, any pretence at editorial standards goes out the window.

I truly would love to know who hasbeen is.
Abbott? sounds like him bluff and bull.
Is he Pyne? maybe Julie Bishop.
Feeble as it is, this thread mirrors and repeats Abbott's silly unfounded statement today.
That Gillard has already broken her first promise, got rid of the stupid, childish peoples forum on environment.
It was is and always will be the stupidest idea put up at an election by Labor.
BUT it is not gone says Julia, in an effort to ward off the conservatives claims she say,s but will change her mind, please, it is not gone.
I find nothing wrong in the two party agreement and thank Gillard for not increasing the lock up of fishing grounds.
I remind the protest voters be it on your head if such as hasbeen run this country.
Hasbeen think about the bloke who said you are a lefty, did he get that wrong, lost yes but left, you may not even have a left hand mate.
