Ho yes! that word corruption. Once said in right direction, the sounds of silence creeps over the land.

Funny that.

r u serious? Do we want to start with UN soldiers raping kids in Congo or billions in oil kickbacks, or do we want to talk about their brave decision to include Iran on Committees to help with women's rights. What about the recent grab for money at CopenHagen despite misusing and lining the pockets of corrupt UN officials on a consistent basis. Only those totally blinded by dogma could surely support the UN.

The only support Joh and his cronies wanted was cash delivered to his office anonymously in little brown paper bags but Runner suggest this was not corrupt behaviour but the entire UN somehow is?

Being blinded by dogma indeed.

Corrupt pollies aren't half as much of a problem than is the combination corrupt/incompetent judiciary.

do poliTRICKians lie
do dogs have fleas
of course they use smoke and mirrors

like their excuse to avoid a tax on the yuppies and their wine
the excuse was a wine glut...lol

we had a toobaco glut till the overnight tax on it saw huge bulk bying..people bying up weeks worth of the stuff..

how to clear a whine glut..simply announce a new tax starting next mounth..[to allow the few liquer franchises to get their orders in]..

because unlike toobaco...sales..that underpin every small shop/servo and corner store..booze is only sold by a few...except in melbourne apparently..where there is a glut of those..'suffering'..in this wine glut

no doudt the nonsmoker krudd...likes his tipple...and lets face it a gift of a case of wine..well politrickians...just love their free lunch tipple..and after all ..they paid for the glut..with the generouse investement subsidies..

[its part of the reason for their free cases of wine...and the big reason...following the water..'buy back'..for our debt..

then there is the reshuffle on the miners deception..yes reshuffle..not a new tax..

if you read between the lines...and all that got any whine from smokers..[or the many small business..going to go bust..from loosing its income stream]...

then there is the double dip recession..and the deception that state debt..isnt national/sovereign..debt[repayable by new taxes...

then there is the asset sales...where great swathes of land has been sold to a forrestry shelf company...that will harvest the trees..then sell loff their new land...to the new imagrants

we should never have allowed the bar-stewards..
to pass a law making their lie's legitimate govt process

but the media..got educated at the same private schools..as the lawyers become politition...as the lawyers claiming to be doing pub-lick sir-vice..and the paid to blog bloggers..pretending to be human

wish i could get drunk..and still pay my taxes
but i will smoke...and pay for yours..too

A politician can always plead that circumstances have changed since she or he made the promises. Sometimes this is true so it would be extremely difficult to hold a politician to account.

However, many of the supporters of a politicians really don't care whether the politician is incorruptible, truthful or even fairly honest. They support the politician if they identify with the politician.

Fitzgerald exposed the corruption under Jo. That really doesn't seem to matter to runner. All that seems to matter to runner, this is my assumption, is that Jo held to the same kind of superstitious beliefs that runner has and must therefore be acceptable. Unfortunately runner is not alone in this sort of behaviour.
