I don't pay that much attention to the ads. it was just an observation. To be honest i was just interested. I've been trying to find the best Nation wide and local political blogs. I keep coming back to this one and just thought maybe it was dominated by Queensland academics (not a problem, again just interested). As i said i keep coming back to this one, so thanks.

by the way. not the original Rolph Harris.

"If you believe the media you have rocks in ya ed. Sensationalism is paramount. It's got to do with headlines.
I don't see whats got to do with adds. We live in a free society with laws, to protect society,
If you think the adds are infringing on your freedom well tell the relevant authorities".

Well that's obvious Desmond. that's why I'm here and among other quality political blogs looking for serious discussion. Obviously something is not "free" here otherwise there would be no need for the ads. I understand there are admin costs and someone should receive some type of compensation for maintaining a quality forum like this. You Desmond seem like you are a little quick to sprout short answer half truths.

"We live in a free society with laws, to protect society" !!

I invite a little more comment on that one.

The ads don't physically bother me it's what happens when a publication is beholden to advertising that journalism often is pushed into the background. I'm not saying this is the case here at ONO . in my first post i mentioned The Age (Melbourne paper) . anyone from Melb would agree, ads, graphic design and advertorials are taking over this once highly respected paper.

You should try to add something to a post Des rather than simply trying to knock it down.
