It looks like being relatively cool here in Brissie for a change. I intend to do as little as humanly possible today: the kids are off to Mum's later this morning and will be away for a few days before coming back to spend New Year with Dad. I've studiously avoided invitations to family gatherings, etc and will be settling in to do some reading. The book is "The Steep Approach to Garbadale" by Iain Banks, who I regard as among the very best writers in english today. This is his first "general" fiction novel for some time, as he concentrated on his "Culture" series of science fiction.
I'm looking forward to some cooling Crownies this arvo to accompany the barbied steak and a generally peaceful day.
What more could a man ask for in Godzone?
