Obama," We cannot continue to rely on our military to achieve our objectives,We've gotta have a civilian national security force that is just as strong, just as powerful just as well funded."
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt2yGzH

Obama has on track compulsory military training for 18 to 25 yr olds and thus creating an enormous civilian force.Initially it will be 3 mths. Why does he need such a force? Is the US preparing for war?

Obama was to repeal the patriot act that allows the president to suspend the constitution and call in marshall law.Bush has now made the president more powerful than congress and Obama it seems, will not relinquish this power.

Obama continues the folly of bailing out failed banks and corporates. It is time to bankrupt toxic debt not pollute the productive economy with bankster corruption.

Obama also has his own youth movement. His smooth tongue is seducing many but the rhetoric and idealism are not matching his actions.

Arjay:"Why does he need such a force? Is the US preparing for war?"

As population continues to increase and resources continue to decline, civil unrest is a foregone conclusion. It is not unreasonable for the US to be planning against future potential internal and local external threats.

In addition, the US has had great trouble in keeping military units up to strength through the iraq and Afghani deployments, going to the extent of offering much-reduced citizenship timeframes for non-citizens who sign up. Perhaps the thinking is that some of those conscripted reserves will "catch the bug" and want to join the regular military?

I think Antiseptic's onto it.

Soon after Obama took office he would have had a meeting with the NSA in which the words "there's HOW much oil left? Holy s--t!" were probably uttered.

Interesting times ahead.

Great it works!
Obama should have rescinded the patriot act if he was serious about freedom and democracy. There are a lot of parrallels between the US and Germany pre-WW2.Economic collapse.Youth movements.Build up of arms. Now an all powerful civilian force. Were the people consulted about this? We have a situation whereby the president has more power than congress.

Obama also at the same time wants to dis-arm the general pop and censor the internet. This all smacks of totalitarianism. Why aren't the alarm bells ringing?

Can you provide some evidence that Obama wants to "wants to dis-arm the general pop and censor the internet"? Making it difficult for individuals to amass arsenals is hardly totalitarian.

There are also young Republican and Young Liberal organisations. Why haven't you compared them to the Hitler Youth before?
