Dont get depressed Belly.
The doom and gloom is only for a short period then we see the Second Coming of The Lord.
Surely looking at the world, over the years youve been alive and observing mankinds behaviour, you didnt really believe mankind was going to save the planet he has polluted and raped to the edge of death, did you?
Mankind agrees on little and when we does agree its takes forever to get things changed.
Look at the UN and its chaos.

No...man doesnt save the planet but God comes to bring Correction...i.e. the great Tribulation period.
Those who want Him will turn to Him and His Son Jesus and He will save them.

In the meantime lets petition the PM for greater defence and lets build for the asian armies to come.
I believe that China takes half of the country later on.

"Yes there is too much doom and gloom.
But Gibo is unlikely to change, most of it is from him.

Belly,
I'm reminded of a doom and gloom preacher trying to win converts. He went over to one person and said, "Would you like to be a Christian?",
The response was, "No thank you, I already have enough problems of my own."

Talk of 'pain' if not the same as talk of 'doom' - ask any medical doctor - experience has shown that it is better for the patient to know what to expect.

Arjay: "Kevin must forget about saving the planet for a while and focus his attention on saving our economy."

The government did this for too long and we are paying for it now, and even more so into the future.

Arjay: "there is no point in being pessimistic, be positive and the pain will be less."

Saying that there will be pain is not the same as being pessimistic (always expecting the worst) either, it may just be being realistic.
The last thing we need is the government treating us like children and telling us everything is going to be OK when it isn't.

Too right philips, re your boom and bust cycle.

However, One-Term Krudd & Co seem hell bent on giving us another one of Keatings "recession we had to have" and pushing it into a disaster with their stupid Carbon tax "Socialism by Stealth" agenda

Gibo,

'No...man doesnt save the planet but God comes to bring Correction...i.e. the great Tribulation period.

'

How will this all happen in practical terms? I mean the bar code is everywhere, but God is sleeping in? When he wakes up, how does he show himself to man. Will all the non-believers spontaneously combust? How will the different flavours of Christianity fare? And the Muslims? The Hindus? Did they pick the wrong team? Do they get one last chance to change teams? Will he take the believers on a space ship to a new planet and blow this one up? What medium will god use? Will it be like a dog whistle for Christians, or will he materialise and go on Dave Letterman?

Sams,I wrote this since I was feeling really down about our economy myself. We are all going to die one day,but we don't dwell upon it.I'm a realist.NSW is already in a recession, but as I've pointed out,Kevin's Govt need to get their heads out of the clouds and start looking at the reality,or come next election ,they will be gone!
