Some Muslim believe David Hicks is in danger as long as he has not given the information he has about bad treatment he received by US army. They say that some people do not want him to disclose the information. The Australian Muslim cleric, Sheikh Haron, has sent a warning letter to David Hicks about this.

his sanity is certainly in danger. the whole world knows what the cia does, if they want to know. hicks has nothing new to add, and is a confessed criminal, so nothing he says need be credited anyway.

I have given the link for the same site, Austrolable. Austrolable published two articles and claimed that Sheikh Haron was fake. Later the third article was published to correct the past mistakes and they explained that Sheikh Haron is Ayatollah Manteghi Boroujerdi. They have also given a link of ABC Radio's interview with him. Please check the link.
Also newspaper The Australian published an article saying "MYSTERIOUS cleric" on 6 December 2007,but later on 28 December they pulished an article to correct it. They wrote: The Australian wrongly accused him as Mysterious Imam.

I contacted the ABC - they are familiar with other Muslim clerics - but not the one called - "Haron."

Nobody in the Muslim community knows can confirm who this man is.

The only 'interview' done with this fellow was when he was in a tent on the steps of Parl/House in 2001! Any link that you provide to validate his existence by showing that he is Manteghi Boroujerdi, only serves to prove that there may well be a MB, BUT;- there is no evidence to suggest that HE is HarOOn or HarOUn.

I have to admit though, that 'Sheik Haron' is making a brilliant job of this pretence!

ABC knows this man as Ayatollah Manteghi Boroujerdi, not as Sheikh Haron. Ayatollah Boroujerdi a while after his interview with ABC has legally changed his name. Ayatollah Boroujerdi has had interview with other Radios as well but you can't find it through Google search. A newspaper in London published a report about Ayatollah Boroujerdi with his photo on front page few years ago. I have been in a Hall in Granvile in Sydney when he gave a speech to few hudreds people. That speech has been recorded.

You are right. There is no evidence to show that Sheikh Haron is Boroujerdi except the Siekh's website which claims him to be. So I think Sheikh Haron must prove that he is the same Manteghi Boroujerdi. Probaly he is , if not so why doesn't Ayatollah Manteghi Boroujerdi complain from Sheikh Haron for using his identity?
Whether Sheikh Haron is Manteghi Boroujerdi or not, he as a Muslim or Christian or Jewish or Atheist (it doesn't make difference) has claimed that David might be in danger, so tell me your opinion about it, Ginx.

If David was following an idiologic thinking pattern by training in muslim camps which were not backed by a foreign countries army, he should be safe.The question whether he would be classified a "mercenary" (as the present occupiers in Iraq are) could put him in danger.

NO media in SA have made ANY mention of danger to DH;- we all know the media well enough; this is newsworthy! NOTHING has been seen electronic or print.

ANY possible threat has been conveyed by 'Haron' (yes, I believe he's fake), allegedly by a letter.

There is no trace of any letter.

David Hicks was considered, even by other detainees, as 'small fry'.
The only conceivable danger that I could see for him is based on what he witnessed when he was sold to the 'allies', and everything he witnessed thereafter.

But the Bush Administration has already acted to immune itself from any human rights abuse charges.

I am sceptical in the absence of a letter from a so-called Sheik.
