In a very disturbing move, the United States has weaponized space by placing what US Air Force Secretary Troy Meink called “on-orbit space control weapons”. For the US now to declare it has space weapons, it seems like an admission that what China and Russia has been saying for many years is correct, "America is weaponizing space, and creating a space arms race". Under the 1967 Outer Space Treaty it is illegal to place weapons, including nuclear weapons in orbit around Earth, or in outer space. Since 1981, in every year, the UN General Assembly adopts a resolution on the Prevention of an Arms Race in Outer Space, the US has not supported the resolution. This is a belligerent and provocative move on the part of America. Most likely China and Russia will respond with a counter move, once more edging the world closer to the day of Armageddon.
