Agree, there are advantages, and sometimes a necessity to understand English, driving a car is a good example of why it is necessary. That is separate from speaking a language other than English in the home. I actually have no problem with people eating dogs, no more than I have a problem with people eating pigs. Although I would hope the conditions for the breeding and raising of dogs for consumption is better than that presently applied to pigs.

Culturally I eat oysters, my granddaughter thinks that's culturally disgusting. Having sex with dogs and throwing puppies into fires that to me would be outside established values, rather than culturally acceptable.

BTW, went out for dinner and a show last night. I ordered Moroccan Lamb, not half bad, but do you think I would be arrested by the Hanson Foody Police if they caught me?

- I'm not sure, but the 'Morocco' in the name might put you into the 'town-square flogging' grey area, it might not be on Pauline's approved-meals list.
I had regular roast lamb and roast veggies last night, with the Maggi lamb gravy, so I'll be fine, but your choice of 'Moroccan' might not be good for you I'm afraid.
