If federal politics continues on its present trajectory there is a distinct possibility that after the next election in 2028, One Nation with Pauline Hanson as leader will be the official Opposition to a majority Labor Government. Hanson occupying the Opposition Leaders chair that the Liberal Party has been forced to vacate, having being reduced to a handful of MP's with not a National Party member in sight, having lost every seat they held, thanks to One Nation. The bulk of non Labor members from the present parliament are those sitting on the cross benches, being joined by the Liberal Party rump that managed to hold on in a handful of seats.

One Nation with Hanson as leader, and Joyce as her deputy, with a totally inexperienced shadow cabinet, and a bunch of newbies on the back bench, they would be expected to serve it up to an experienced well established Labor Government. The only worse scenario, and a total disaster for good governance in my opinion, would be if One Nation were to win government outright from Labor. Good government requires good opposition, and there is no way One Nation could deliver on either score! What do others think?

The unlike-Paul wording of this "opinion" suggests it is a verbatim opinion from a more literate person or organisation.

The only thing that matters is removal of the Socialist Albanese government and its manipulation by unions.

The ACTU, supposed to be the protector of workers, has now decided to go outside its remit and revive the Voice, which was drubbed buy 60% of Australians. WTF has that got to do with them! It has to be part of the communistic plan go divide and control with even more than race politics, multiculturalism and mass immigration are already doing.

It has been suggested that, not only is the union movement a huge contributor to the Socialist ALP, but it is also a “stalking horse” for it, trotting out bad ideas that the ALP then adopts. The ACTU advocated the recognition of the non-existent state of Palestine, and the ‘reforms’ that “will spread the union waste, inefficiency and corruption seen in Victoria and Queensland nationwide”.

A vote for Labor is a vote for the unions hardly anyone is a member of these days, and a vote for pure Communism in the not too distant future.

And the liar might now be looking to “change his position” on the Voice. Unlike some, I am quite prepared to quote Spectator Australia (not pretend it's my own opinion) that said in 2025, before the election, that if the Albanese government was re-elected, it would “introduce a legislated Voice by stealth”.

Hi ttbn,

Say what you like, but that is my opinion, I didn't rely on any other opinion. I know you have never had an original thought of your own, and rely on right wing opinion from the likes of 'Spectator' and 'Sky After Dark' to tell you what to say and think. This topic, and you claim to be a great one for sticking to the topic, has nothing to do with union influence within the ALP.

At the moment One Nation is an unknown quantity as far as government goes. The efforts in the Senate from Hanson and Roberts leaves a lot to be desired, not that Hanson has fronted for work too often, I believe about 12% of the time, Joyce is a joke in the lower house, incoherent at best, I think he still has his "problem" which only abstinence will cure. As the Angry Old Man I can see why the Angry Old Woman appeals to you.

I don't believe it would be good for the country to have a clueless rabble sitting on the Opposition benches, engaged in infighting, that's what we have now, and that's what One Nation would deliver as well. Love em' or hate em' at least the Labor government is holding the country together.

A little word of praise for One Nation from me, their newest member, David Farley, the only glimmer of a spark in ON I've seen, his comments I may not agree with, but thus far they have been reasonably intelligent. If he is as smart as he may appear, he'll soon realise he caged with monkeys, and will do the bolt to the independent seats.

China’s ethnic unity law denounced as ‘forced assimilation’ by rights groups
http://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/jul/02/china-ethnic-unity-law-denounced-rights-groups

What amuses me is people who are like 'Those damn Chinese mistreat the Uighurs!'
Next minute the same people say, 'We need to get rid of these damn Muslims!'

So what do the One Nation supporters want deportations or forces assimilations?

‘You’re insulting them’: Pauline Hanson takes aim at Albanese’s criticism of monoculture
http://youtu.be/RRBfRI75VS0

Pauline "I embrace them as Australians and that's what we are. We are Australians."

Kenny "Yeah. It's it's a pretty simple test that, isn't it? Are you Australian first or are you something else first?"

These dipshits can't even open their mouths without putting their foot in it.

Google? Does sky news put Australia first or Israel first?

AI Overview
Sky News Australia focuses primarily on Australian domestic issues, politics, and local news. However, the network features highly outspoken conservative commentators who strongly defend Israel.
This editorial stance often aligns its on-air opinions with the policies and interests of the Israeli government.

Why is our main conservative channel aligned with the policies of the Israeli government.

Hi AC,

What a joke from Hanson, "the Socceroos demonstrate monoculteralism". If Hanson had her way there would be no Socceroos, from the coach Tony Popovic, a son of Serbian migrants to the majority of the team who are the children of migrants, or were born overseas, Milos Degenek (born in Croatia), Nestory Irankunda (born in Tanzania to Burundian refugee parents), Awer Mabil (born in a refugee camp in Kenya to South Sudanese parents). These are the type of people Hanson wants excluded from Australia, not representing Australia. And of course there would be no SBS to watch the World Cup on. As for playing outside of the Anglo-sphere, countries like Egypt, Muslims no way!, as Hanson has said "There is no such thing as a good Muslim." why would we play soccer with them?

The next election is two years away. Calm down and stop fretting that people you disagree with might win. There's plenty of time for that when the election is closer.

One Nation is currently riding high because they are espousing policies that a plurality agree with. But both major parties are realising that this plurality have some say in things like immigration whereas in the past, by adopting a bipartisan position not actually approved of by the majority, the popular view was sidelined. One Nation stepped into that gap.

But the majors, for whom power is more important than policy, have already started to adjust their 'principles' to accommodation the new reality that One Nation created.

Two years is a long time for the full force of the power structure - the majors, the media, the unions and big business etc - to unite to fend off the One Nation threat to their power.

"What amuses me is people who are like 'Those damn Chinese mistreat the Uighurs!'

There's a massive difference between a society or group that says they reject Muhammadian attitudes and don't want it for their culture as happens here and a society (or political party - CCP) that says we reject Mohammadian and we intend to wipe that culture off the face of the earth.

The Chinese are perpetrating genocide against the Muslim Uighurs whereas we are just saying Islam isn't for us. I wonder if you can see the difference.

""the Socceroos demonstrate monoculteralism". "

If you understood what monoculturalism is, you'd understand that what Hanson said is correct. But I see that you are determined to not understand monoculturalism so the truth of it will continue to go over your head.

Hi Trumpster,

"PLEASE EXPLAIN!" as your dear lady would say. Other than the word "mono" meaning one, its difficult to define how in a country as diverse in cultures as Australia is through immigration could possibly exists as a singular culture, without embracing aspects of other cultures that migrants bring with them on arrival.

What people believe as "values" is being confused with culture. Its not a value to speak English, its part of ones culture. To expect a person whose primary language is something other, to excursively speak English is unreasonable, on the grounds that speaking English is the only acceptable language within the new monoculture. Just as unreasonable is to expect migrants who have grown up with some benign different cultural norms, such as food and dress etc, to entirely abandon those ways, and conform to what is the standard established within the new monoculture, meat pies and thongs, I don't know.

Hanson made a point of saying 23% of people speak a language other than English in their home. I perceived from that, that Hanson has a problem with language, and desired that all should excursively speak English. WHY?

You still don't get it, poor old Paul. She didn't talk about the Socceroos being monocultural, she talked about them displaying monocultural-ISM. I explained the difference in an earlier thread, but clearly you didn't get it then and remain determined to not get it now.

What about 'No english, no drivers license?'
If you can't read any of the street signs?

Hi AC,

Agree, there are advantages, and sometimes a necessity to understand English, driving a car is a good example of why it is necessary. That is separate from speaking a language other than English in the home. I actually have no problem with people eating dogs, no more than I have a problem with people eating pigs. Although I would hope the conditions for the breeding and raising of dogs for consumption is better than that presently applied to pigs.

Culturally I eat oysters, my granddaughter thinks that's culturally disgusting. Having sex with dogs and throwing puppies into fires that to me would be outside established values, rather than culturally acceptable.

BTW, went out for dinner and a show last night. I ordered Moroccan Lamb, not half bad, but do you think I would be arrested by the Hanson Foody Police if they caught me?

Hi Paul,
"I ordered Moroccan Lamb, not half bad, but do you think I would be arrested by the Hanson Foody Police if they caught me?"
- I'm not sure, but the 'Morocco' in the name might put you into the 'town-square flogging' grey area, it might not be on Pauline's approved-meals list.
I had regular roast lamb and roast veggies last night, with the Maggi lamb gravy, so I'll be fine, but your choice of 'Moroccan' might not be good for you I'm afraid.

3 strikes and you're out under One Nation rules.
Deported on the next available cargo ship.

'Cultural oysters' - that sounds a bit grey area too.
You really like living dangerously.

Hi AC,

"so I'll be fine" YOU MIGHT THINK SO, well have I got news for you. You were doing great until you mentioned 'Maggi', that's a no no!

"The Maggi company is owned by the Swiss multinational food and drink processing conglomerate, Nestle. Nestle acquired the brand in 1947. SWISS, they don't even speak English as a language, and they eat cheese with holes in it as well! You don't know where that kind of multicultural nonsense can lead. Next thing you know you'll be munching on Spring Rolls late at night, and tuning in to SBS to watch the Mandarin News at midnight. This kind of undermining of our meat pie monoculture is going on all over Australia. You wont believe this, but there are folks who claim they are Aussie Dingos out there who secretly eat spaghetti in the privacy of their own homes, probably speaking wop at the same time, thinking no one is listening. WELL Pauline is listening and she don't like what she's hearing! She can't understand it, but she don't like it!

For next time, I have an excellent, Bandicoot Piss On You Sauce, which has been approved by The Lovely Pauline, herself.
