I recall in Sydney, I assume Melbourne was much the same, there was animosity towards migrants, who were mostly Southern European and British, with disparaging language used. There was a general belief then that; "the wogs have got all the houses" and "bloody ten pound Poms" insulting name calling was common; "dago, spick, wog, etc" When Asian migrants started to arrive they were called; "slope heads, chinks etc". A common belief was that migrants got preferential treatment for work, housing etc. The British were believed to be dirty, and didn't wash themselves, came from the notion that in Britain they kept the heating coal in the bathtub, and didn't use the tub to wash themselves.

You say you are a migrant yourself, did you experience any prejudices when you first arrived? There was a lot of it in schools and work places, that I know of.

- Yes all of those, and more.

It was hazing in its kindest form.
And outright racist in it's worst.

I think it was tribal, and with it was a greater sense of national unity.
(But also we only had a handful of tv channels so the whole country watched the same thing)
We had our own unique culture separate from the rest of the world
- But obviously there were winners and there were losers in that equation.
But it was probably like that with every country and culture back then.

Back before UN global agendas made all western countries generic and banned all of our unique (and a little racist) cultures.

How were the Palestinians doing before the Israelis decided to immigrate back there and re-establish modern Israel?

We had a hand in taking that land from the Turks, we shed blood for it, and we turn a blind eye to the bs that Israels been doing there for over a century.

It's clear what the plan was when Israel was established.

One may support Israel, and for them maybe this is all an outcome to be celebrated.
But if you don't, then all this bs is, is endless wars, destruction, killing and subversion of our own national interests for a foreign nation, that leads economic crises, and traitor politicians, conflict, infighting, increased immigration from Muslim countries attacked by Israel and the U.S. resulting in Wesern terrorist attacks, a MSM that shovels lies and bs down our throats while saying 'The other guys are doing it!' and a democracy that's a compromised steaming turd that fosters and rewards incompetent morons.
