Mm... I'm still shiddy.

Soon it will be:
'Google has detected your raised blood pressure and angry outburst and is sending authorities to your location for a welfare check. Have a nice day.'

Hi AC,

For some Google is their doctor, lawyer, confidant, spiritual adviser, confessor and indeed best friend! Unfortunately only 95% of the population are in a state of "Google Ecstasy". The truculent non conforming 5% with their radical ideas of "free thought nonsense" will require medical intervention. Fortunately the government has available a huge supply of certain mind altering drugs, developed in North Korea (and fully tested on human guinea pigs), to alleviate this very problem, and they will correct these abnormalities. Please don't be concerned or alarmed, they are covered by the PBS, and are free to children, pensioners, pregnant women and certain farm animals.

Hi Paul,
So not to be outdone... I called the local Federal MP.
...After spending a couple hours trying to seach the internet trying to get in touch with someone from google.

I said I'm not sure if I should be calling over this, but I don't know who else to call, and went through the story about how I did the updates and when I went back into my photo folder just about everything was gone, nothing in the archive or the bin, just all gone.

And I said I'm not specifically calling to ask if you can help me get my photos back,
It's just that we have this billion dollar foreign company sucking up all our data and wealth, and they don't even have a customer service number where you can speak to a real person.
Isn't that a bit odd?

She said yes and agreed, and said she has a google contact number and if I email her she could organise a call back for me.
She said she gets annoyed by the changes from phone app updates.

So maybe I'll do that and see what happens.
She seemed helpful.
LNP.
