Pre 1914 really! There were pre-war, and post war problems associated with immigrants all throughout history, all over the world. Firstly indigenous Australians can testify to that, the problems that new arrivals bring with them. In the 1850's there was hostility towards the Chinese on the goldfields. The White Australia policy, kept "undesirables" out. Post war, there was resentment towards Southern Europeans, I recall people says; :"The wogs have got all the houses", and Ten Pound Poms were resented in Australia. More recently people like Hanson claimed Australia was being swamped by Asians, now Muslims.
The bloke on Facebook is simply anti-welfare, and anti immigration. Of course immigration has to be managed correctly, no one wants undesirable people entering their country.

Is this a situation you envisage & desire for Australia ? It's great news for Muslims ! The average Australian is as blasè as the average Caucasian American & this is the outcome. It's typical of times when people have it too good for too long. The Islamists are laughing all the way ! The real problem will start when they too have too good for too long ! I suppose the Planet can do with a break from stupid humans.

Unlike so many immigrants today who are proud of their heritage, not you, who is ashamed of your true identity.
