Armchair Critic- I agree that there are many traitors. Would you say that some traitors are worse than others? Would you say that criminal negligence is different than treason? Would you say that Marxism is a different type of threat than Capitalism? Would you say that Marxism is a form of totalitarianism, different in depth and scope than Capitalism? Of course Capitalism has multiple stages and has perhaps been subverted by movements such as consumerism, corporatism, etc. Do you think that you might be "trapped in the hall of mirrors"?? As they say "I'm not paranoid I'm a realist, they are all out to get me ;o)". Sometimes it helps to frame reality rather than let yourself be framed by it.

Thomas Hobbes said similar "the condition of man is the condition of war of everyone against everyone" "life is brutish and short". Basically Hobbes is from the "man is bad" school of thought as opposed to Locke's view that "man is good" school of thought. The Hobbes view leads to the conclusion that man needs principles to be free (Aristotelian Freedom rather than John Stewart Mill's conception of freedom- harm principle). Aristotelian Freedom has the feeling of Traditionalism. The harm principle has the feeling of Nihilism.

There is also the concept of the armed truce- some are more 'armed' and less 'truce' than others.
