A poll by the New York Post suggests that the 'debate' made no difference to anything, including the way Americans will vote. That's the way it has always been. But they keep on doing it, and exciting the excitable, who have goldfish memories, and who blather the same nonsense every time.

According to the BBC undecided Americans were impressed
by Harris. But did the debate shift the vote?

Brookings Institution tells us that the Presidential debate
accomplished more for Harris. As one male voter said -
"He couldn't even look at her."

Battleground state voters generally awarded Harris a win.
According to Sky News - Trump says he won.

It might help for some voters to see more policy specifics,
however predicting anything is risky at the best of times.

We all should just wait and see - and hope for the best.
For America and for us as well - because we depend on the
US for our defence.

I hate to think what Trump will do if he loses the election.
Foxy,
If he wins I hate to think how much lower the Democrats can go. I imagine it'll be like here when Labor loses, the bulk of bureaucrats will go into sabotage mode again.

The reality is that ever since Donald Trump entered
US politics in 2016, the Republican Party has become
more extreme. It's also become smaller and Trump's
unwillingness to cross his base makes it difficult
if not impossible to attract moderates and independents.

The Republican Party is on the wrong side of every major
issue facing the American people - including the nation's
security. Trump admires autocrats like Putin.

Trump lost the 2020 election and then incited an
insurrection. Since then he's moderated neither his
rhetoric nor his behaviour. On the contrary, he's become
more extreme.

Are there enough voters willing to put him back in The
White House? Only time will tell.

However, Australian Liberal Party Leader, Peter Dutton
would be wise to pay attention to US politics and learn
what not to do.
