Yep, agreed. Asking the people what their opinion is in a democracy is so 20th century.

Brexit has been a great success, although I'm sure CNN will have led you to think differently.

WTF has Brexit, and the UK PM got to do with us and our country, is my question. More interesting and relevant is 'Quexit', which people who watch ADH TV would know about. I hadn't heard about it before, but it has been an issue over several years, apparently. There is a desire for far north Queensland to break away from Brisbane - which does nothing relevant to anyone beyond Rockhampton - to form a "7th state".

Forget the UK; ignore what goes on there just we ignore the catastrophic effects renewable energy is having there and in other countries further down the road to ruin than we are.

A headline in the ABC site... "'Reality catching up with rhetoric' as coal-fired closure delayed".

When even the ABC can see the flaws in the net zero assertions, its only a matter of time before the fact-adverse crowd catch up.

Oh and just to try to help them keep up with the rapidly unravelling 'settled science'.... "Another Eminent Scientist Dissents From the ‘Settled’ Science on Climate" http://dailysceptic.org/2023/08/17/another-eminent-scientist-dissents-from-the-settled-climate-science-narrative/

I've been seeing quite a few of these type of stories lately. As more and more scientists are prepared to put their careers on the line to tell the truth, it may well become an avalanche.... although as we all 'know', all avalanches are caused by CO2. </grin>

Wrong ttbn, the government is very interested in north of Rocky, after all it is only coal mining royalties preventing total bankruptcy. There is a big stink in Qld right now after they increased exponentially royalty charges by 600%, to try to cover Annie's crazy spending.

Already 2 billion worth of projects have been cancelled. Talk about idiots killing the golden goose. No wonder the northerners want out, all the income comes from there, & none of the spending goes there.

Since the illegal invasion of Ukraine gas and power prices have shot up. finding more gas in the North Sea is an ideal and simpler solution to reduce the cost of living. This is practical, not political.
