Your morality is cheap. A Macquarie CEO got a golden handshake of about $30m for 5 years of work which is far more than an ex-PM of Aus and MP for 25 years.

Yes poor Tony Abbott. He automatically got an annual
income of over $300,000. Which by the way is adjusted
accordingly each year. Plus he will get all the perks
of former PMs like a parliamentary travel entitlement,
office accommodation, unlimited postage,
publication allowances, and
the list goes on. If we were to know
how much our former PMs
cost us a year - we'd be horrified.
It runs into the billions.

And that's not counting the books they write, the speaking
engagements, the consultancy positions offered, and so
on, who can blame them for not wanting to leave?

Yeah well, even some heads of Departments earn way more than a PM. How is all this actually possible ?
CEO's are simply over the top in this !
