What the left whingers are so afraid of is that Tony Abbott will shred Albozo and his 40 thieves just as he shredded Krudd and Juliar.

Dear Steele,

I doubt if Tony Abbott will get the Party's nod.
He's not seen as a "winner," any more.
So I don't like his chances. Also his continued support of
Cardinal Pell did not stand him in good stead with
many people. And Mr Dutton I'm sure doesn't trust him.

There's so many younger members who could vie for that
position. I personally feel that the days of people like
Kevin Andrews and Tony Abbott are over.

And Dutton needs to take note of that if he's to survive.

Also, has there ever been a former Australian PM who was
able to return to politics once he'd left? I can't think of
one.

shadowminister,

Tony Abbott will shred Anthony Albanese?

Tony Abbott's got to be able to get back into
politics first. His chances are not looking good.

SM,

Abbott turned out be a huge dud ... I doubt that Labor are trembling at the knees at the thought of him oozing into the senate.

(not that it's likely to happen)

Besides, it was his babysitter Credlin who choreographed his lying rise to the top - all went swimmingly until they were both booted two-thirds of the way through his first term as PM.

Hardly a success ...

Abbott would be Labor's best card ! I doubt the Conservatives would be so foolish as to re-install him or any former high ranker for that matter !

Foxy,

TA is now sitting on a $400k p.a. pension and other benefits that he will lose if he rejoins parliament. Why would he join again?
