Dr. Kerryn Phelps was once a darling of the woke left. As head of the AMA she was a bane to conservatives at all levels, running against and defeating the Libs in a by-election for Wentworth. As a lesbian she was a natural fit for any show on (y)our ABC and was regularly trotted out as the authoritative face of medicine. She was a great spruiker for the mask mandate.

But I don't think she'll be getting too many gigs on the ABC in the future.

She made a submission to the Long Covid inquiry saying "This is an issue that I have witnessed first-hand with my wife who suffered a severe neurological reaction to her first Pfizer vaccine within minutes, including burning face and gums, paraesethesiae, and numb hands and feet,...I continue to observe the devastating effects a year-and-a-half later with the addition of fatigue and additional neurological symptoms including nerve pains, altered sense of smell, visual disturbance and musculoskeletal inflammation. The diagnosis and causation has been confirmed by several specialists who have told me that they have seen ‘a lot’ of patients in a similar situation.”

“In my case the injury resulted in dysautonomia with intermittent fevers and cardiovascular implications including breathlessness, inappropriate sinus tachycardia and blood pressure fluctuations.”

Both incidents, according to Dr. Phelps, were reported to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) “but never followed up.”

And the killer comment....

"“Regulators of the medical profession have censored public discussion about adverse events following immunization, with threats to doctors not to make any public statements about anything that ‘might undermine the government’s vaccine rollout’ or risk suspension or loss of their registration,”

As I pointed out in a previous discussion Big Pharma lied about the efficacy of the vaccine. Now we are finding out that government actively sought to suppress data about the dangers of the vaccine.

They all lied....Proceed accordingly.

I know nothing about 'long covid', but I have read that much of it seems to be psychological, and suffered mainly by women. Who knows? Who cares? We were told lies by people like Phelps. I don't think there is any sympathy heading their way.

I've followed Dr Phelps and her career with some interest
for a while and she appeared at least to me to be a
caring professional genuinely interested in helping
people which I'm sure is a good attribute to have for a
doctor. Also as far as I know she's highly
respected in both her profession, in politics, and her
family love her.

Her concern about the pfizer vaccine sounds genuine - and
as a doctor she's obligated to pass on her knowledge and
experience with the drug to others. Not to do so would be
unprofessional and dangerous.

I also had a mild reaction to the pfizer vaccine. But it did not
last long and I certainly don't regret having taken it. I have
not had COVID - and I trust I won't if I keep taking all the
booster shots as needed. I believe in following the advice
of our medical professionals. Especially when most of them
seem to agree with each other.

I feel that this reaction that Dr Phelps has experienced with her
partner is extremely rare - and I haven't done the research on
this matter as what could have caused it. It is unfortunate that
this happened but I'd like to know on the law of averages - how
many cases such as hers have there been - before condemning
and finger-pointing.

Yes I think we'd all like to know that. But since the authorities, not just here but everywhere the vaccines were pushed, are actively suppressing the data, it's unlikely we'll find out any time soon.

At this point there is no definitive data. Part of the reason is the lack of interest in finding definitive data.

But that wasn't my point. I was more interested in Phelps, a signed up member of the woke collective, admitting that doctors and other 'experts' have been intimidated into silence about the dangers and adverse effects of the vaccines.
