The failure of Jim Chalmers : Comments

By Graham Young, published 5/6/2026

Jim Chalmers complained about the economy he inherited - too much debt, chronic deficit, low productivity - so what is the point of his last budget?

Polls say that 60% of Australians are disgusted with the Liars' budget. The younger generation that it was supposed to help are talking about leaving the country, and aspiring business starters are being advised to move to Singapore.

It's a pity that most of those same people voted for Albanese at the last election. It's a pity that Albanese is too arrogant or stupid to admit that he was wrong. It's a pity that Albanese has still two years left to really ruin the country. It's a pity that Australia has the least interest in Artificial Intelligence of any comparable country. It's a pity that AI will have the same affect on workers as the Industrial Revolution did.

But wait! There is now talk that the combination of more than one taxation proposal in a single Bill might be unconstitutional; that the CGT and the tax relief cannot be together.

There is a chance that this part of the the Liars' budget could be challenged in the High Court if the Opposition stirs its stumps and does something other than talking.

On top of everything else, 51,000 non-citizens are benefiting from the first home-buyer scheme meant for young Australians buying their first homes.

These foreigners remain uncommitted to Australia, while getting their noses in the trough. One more example of the Albanese government cheapening the advantages and responsibilities of citizenship. The idiots aren't even getting votes from these people.

After five budgets, Chalmers “net zero economy” offers chronic over-migration, predictably low productivity growth, severe rental and housing un-affordability, stagnant real wages with stubborn bracket-creep, lushly funded private schools, and costlier energy tariffs.

Won't be any different, after 10, but no matter. Applauded as "reformers", liar Chalmers and liar Albanese will move on to bigger and better gigs.

Far too much drama here!
Jim Chalmers is doing the best he can.
He is part of a government which is doing the best it can.
But in spite of good intention, even the best governments make small mistakes.
These small mistakes add up over time.
That can lead to a government becoming mired in disorder.
This happens with all governments.
When it happens, the people simply and change government.
Eventually, that will be the fate of Labor, but maybe not yet.
In spite of bad press, they are not quite out of their depth.

If Chalmers is doing the “best he can” he has no business being Treasurer.

The same applies to the lying Albanese government that is also doing its best - its best to ruin the country and turn it into a Socialist nightmare.

“Good intentions”. That one should bring the house down. Oops, shouldn't talk about housing, or the lack of it.

As far as I am aware, during my 8 plus decades, no government has been “mired in disorder” like the extreme left Albanese regime. Mr. Fatso is talking through his hatso.
